Eligibility Criteria

Admission to undergraduate programmes in engineering (B.E.) shall be open to candidates who have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th standard or equivalent examination recognized by AICTE and State Government with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry / Electronics / Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study. Students must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (40% for SC/ST/OBC students of Karnataka only) in the optional subjects mentioned above.

For Diploma Holders
Diploma Holders in engineering with a minimum of 45% marks in the Diploma examination, conducted by the Board of Technical Examination, Government of Karnataka or its equivalent, (40 % for SC/ST/OBC students of Karnataka only) are eligible for admission to the corresponding branches directly to Second Year B.E.(Lateral Entry).
For NRI & Foreign Students
Admission to undergraduate programmes in engineering shall be open to NRI / Foreign candidates who have passed 12th standard or equivalent examination recognized by AIU with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry / Electronics / Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study. Students must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in the optional subjects mentioned above
Eligibility Criteria for PG
MBA: Admission is open to all candidate who possess a Bachelor’s Degree of minimum three years duration recognized by Government of Karnataka and AICTE as equivalent with minimum 50% of the marks in aggregate of all the years/ semesters of Degree examination (45% for SC/ST and Category-1 candidates of Karnataka only)

Admission Process

Students who wish to seek admission to the various undergraduate programmes in engineering at Jnanavikas Institute of Technology (JVIT) may do so via one of the following processes:

  • Common Entrance Test (CET) and Selection Process
  • COMEDK and Selection Process
  • Management Admission Process

Admission Procedure

  • Candidates must fill in the registration form. This is to be done at the JVIT College Campus.
  • Visit the Admissions Section and meet the Admissions Coordinator.
  • Admission fee details will be shared with the prospective candidate.
  • Once the seat has been confirmed, candidates may fill out the application.
  • form and submit it along with the documents specified below.

Required Documents

The college requires that candidates submit the following documents at the time of admission. Note: A different set of documents is required for International students and Non-Resident Indians. (Please bring original documents along with 3 photocopies of the same.

For Indian Students
  • Rank Card of the entrance exam taken / Admit Card.
  • SSLC / 10th Marks Card
  • PUC / 12th Marks Card or equivalent
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Conduct Certificate from the Principal of the institution last attended.
  • Photographs: 5 Passport size, 5 Stamp size
  • Migration Certificate (for non-Karnataka students is Mandatory)
  • Caste and income Certificate (if applicable)
For Foreign Students
  • ‘A’ Level Marks Card (12th Standard)
  • ‘O’ Level Marks Card (10th Standard)
  • Course Completion Certificate
  • Association of Indian University Approval
  • Passport Photo Copy
  • Photograph: Passport Size – 6 nos.
  • Photograph: Stamp Size – 6 nos.
  • All documents should be in English translation
  • Proof of parent working in Middle East (letter from the Company)
  • At the time of admission, candidates must submit all the originals, copies and other relevant documentation including the completed application form.
  • After scrutiny of the application form, selected candidates will be invited for personal counseling. The selection of candidates will be made in accordance
  • with the Government regulations prevailing at the time of admission, and the selection process will be based on academic merit and aptitude of the prospective candidate.
For NRI Students
  • 12th Std Marks Card
