Leadership Roles at VTU
As the Principal of Jnana Vikas Institute of Technology (JVIT), Bidadi, Dr. Girisha holds several key positions, including member of the Board of Examiners, VTU Flying Squad Chief, and Chief Coordinator for cultural festivals like CHIGURU (2008-2010). He has also served as Deputy Chief Superintendent for VTU Examinations and COMED-K, PGCET, and KMAT exams, while playing a vital role in establishing laboratories for the Mechanical Engineering Department and organizing numerous workshops and technical seminars.
Experience and Affiliations
Dr. Girisha has over 26 years of academic experience and has taught at several reputed engineering colleges in India and abroad. He earned his BE from Bangalore University, M.Tech from Mysore University, and Ph.D. from Bangalore University. Previously, he was associated with NITM&S as Principal and served in various capacities at the Cambridge Institute of Technology, Bangalore. He has published numerous research papers in leading national and international journals and has presented at conferences globally.
Achievements
He received the “Excellence in Teaching” award from Carrier Graph for the academic year 2006-2007 while at RVCE and was honored with a Gold Medal by SSEC Management for achieving 100% results in the subjects he handled. As a consultant, he has visited countries including Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, New Zealand, and several African nations, enhancing his industry and academic insights.
